Terms of use
Last updated August 2026
Using Seph means accepting what is below. It is written to be read, so it is short.
Seph is operated by Sephar Innovations. In this document "we" and "us" mean Sephar Innovations, and "you" means the person using the service.
What this is
Seph is a small, self-hosted language model offered as a research project and a working product. It is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It may be slow, unavailable, or wrong. What Seph can and cannot do describes the specific failure modes, and reading it is part of using this responsibly.
Your account
- You need an account to use the chat, and you are responsible for keeping access to it secure.
- One account per person. Do not share credentials.
- You can delete your account at any time. See Privacy for exactly what that removes.
Usage limits
Replies are generated on shared CPU hardware, so there is a daily message limit per account and one reply generated at a time. The remaining allowance is shown as you approach it. These limits exist so one person cannot make the service unusable for everyone else, and they may change as capacity does.
Acceptable use
Do not use Seph to:
- break the law, or help someone else do so;
- generate material that sexualises children, incites violence, or harasses a person;
- impersonate a real person or organisation, or present generated text as something it is not;
- circumvent the usage limits, scrape the service, or use it as an unattended backend for another product;
- attack the service or attempt to reach the model or search services directly.
Accounts doing any of the above may be suspended without notice. For a small service, that judgement is made by a person, not a system.
Your content
What you write stays yours. We store it to run the service, as described in Privacy. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not use your conversations to train the model.
Feedback is the one exception, and only because you choose it: rating a reply submits that rating, your optional note, and a copy of the reply so the failure can be studied and fixed. That is the point of the button.
Output
Text Seph generates is yours to use. It carries no guarantee of accuracy, originality, or fitness for anything. You are responsible for checking it before relying on it or publishing it, and searched answers are summaries of third-party pages whose rights belong to whoever wrote them.
Availability and changes
There is no uptime guarantee. Features, models, and limits may change, and the service may be withdrawn. If it shuts down, reasonable notice will be given so you can export your conversations.
If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and the change will be visible here.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of Seph, are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any such dispute.
Nothing here removes a right you have under a law that cannot be contracted out of. Where any term of this document conflicts with such a right, that right applies and the remaining terms continue to stand.
